YAAAYYYY!!!

AYANA WALKED YESTERDAY!!!! It was SO EXCITING!! We were at Ellie's concert and I was with Ayana near the end in the lobby with my Dad. I pulled her up by her hands to do some walking and my Dad reached out for me to "walk" her to him. Well, somehow her little hands broke free and she took about 3 or 4 steps ALL BY HERSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were just shocked!!! And so excited!!! So we hurriedly set her up to do it again, (we were like a couple of kids ourselves!) and she DID IT AGAIN!! And as fate would have it my Mom walked in at that precise moment of her free steppin'!!! We all laughed and cheered. I said, "Poor Regan, he missed it! Maybe we shouldn't tell him!" And we laughed again. She did it again later for my inlaws, Regan and Ellie, so it was a big day, and extra special because ALL of her grandparents were here to witness it!!! And speaking of my inlaws, she was only a little bit shy and it didn't take long before she was smiling and flirting with each of them. My mother in law was even able to hold her for awhile! Ayana was super happy all weekend and very very funny. Ellie was able to show them all her little games she likes to play with her. They fell totally in love with her. It was awesome! Then after Ayana went to sleep last night we all played cards and games with Ellie. What a fantastic weekend, one of the best in a long time. Now we are just having a quiet Sunday, right now Ayana is having her afternoon nap, Regan and Ellie are painting in the kitchen and I am laying on the living room couch trying to finish "A new Earth" before Oprah's class starts tomorro. It is deliciously quiet in our house. Ayana was up again in the night, and I checked this AM and she is cutting yet ANOTHER tooth. The one on the bottom finally came thru in the last couple of days, and now I see a little pin hole where her other top front tooth is coming thru. She will probably be the type of kid to have them come in like that.. boom, boom, boom. Poor little muffin.
Have a great Sunday!

How cool is that!!! An early walker and that is quite the feat considering that she was in orphanage care quite a long time! Go baby, GO!!
Enjoy each moment! :)
