Cool!!

Feel much better jetlag wise. Went to the Old part of Munich today. It was extremely georgous and cool. Saw some amazing churches and walked ALOT. Then went to a palace that used to belong to the royal family of Bavaria for 400 years. That was incredible. We took a ton pics, and will need to buy more cards for our camera, I think. The churches we saw were just georgous. One was the oldest in Munich, built in 1040!!! And also in the Palace (otherwise known as the Residence) we saw some artifacts dating 700 AC!!!!!! The history to absorb is staggering and fascinating and we all just love it. Ellie is at a PERFECT age for all of this stuff. She LOVES going to museums and never ever complains about being bored at them. At the Residence we all had these ear piece thingys that we listened to stuff as we went along she was just right in there with learning as she went. We said her teacher,Miss G,would be proud!! We also had lunch at the world famous Hofrahouse (sp?). It is where they have the giant Octoberfest parties every year. Our waiter was the crabbiest man on the planet. He must be world famous for it. We only caught a bit of the band and the waiter pretty much soured the experience for us. Bummer!!! We walked and walked and walked today looking for various churches etc. We were going to try to go the Munich Philharmonic (which is LITERALLY accross the street from our hotel) tonight as they had a concert, but got back late so we couldn't make it. We ate excellent Italian food tonight, we just could not stomach sausage or fatty stuff. It is now 915 pm on Monday night and we are heading up to our room to play some cards with Ellie and go to bed. She has not missed TV or her computer or toys at all... just her family, friends and pets. As we were walking back from the restaurant tonight she happily announced, "I just LOVE my parents!". We are sooo lucky!! Lets see how we all feel about eachother once we have our car and her Dad and I are yelling at each other from the stress of trying to find our way south of here!!! Tomorro we will do some souvenier shopping, and some other things, not sure what. It is hard to believe tomorro is our last full day in Munich. I find the trip is going by too fast already!!! Much love to all of you!!!
