Okay, so since we flew all night I didn't think that we would suffer from jetlag at all.... boy was I wrong!!! We all went to bed at 1130pm, and woke up at 330AM and did not get back to sleep for well over an hour. Then Reg had to wake Ellie and I up at 1030 AM and we felt terrible!!! It felt like it was the middle of the night. Now it is after 6pm and Regan was so tired he had that sick feeling, you know? So we let him lay down for 15 minutes ONLY!!! Today was fantastic, after a very good breakfast buffet (pretzels for breakfast?? you betcha!!) we walked to the German Museum of Science and Technology. It was FANTASTIC!!! The only problem is we did not have enough time to see it all. We saw about 95% of it. They had such amazing artifacts there. All of ours favourite part was the Music room. The oldest instrument they had was a Clavichord from 1500!!!!!! There was a very short stout lady who gave us a tour of the instruments and let me play a Harpsichord from the 18 century!!! Of course I blanked on what to play! There were instruments from all over the world, many many MANY instruments that were very old. This place, the museum, was MASSIVE!!! It actually would take a little more than a day to see the entire thing. I thought of all of my family, my sisters and their families and my parents and Regan's family too, and we wish we could have shared it with them. The streets are all cobble stone, and there are two parts to the side walk, one half is to walk and the other half is for bicycles. And you don't want to get in the wrong lane.... those bikes are moving!!! We were completely exhausted after being at the museum all day and were practically stumbling home. Instead of laying down, which is what we really really wanted to do... okay maybe just Regan.... we went swimming in the GEORGOUS hotel pool. I am telling you, this hotel is awesome!!! So close to everything and very very quiet. Now we are on our way for a traditional German dinner, and then we will go back to our room to relax and plan the next few days events and play some games with Ellie. I won't be able to post any pics until we get back, but trust me, it is beautiful here, and so green, and from our hotel we can see some amazing church steeples.
Till next time, thanks for checking in with us and our adventures!!
