Sickies

This morning just before 6AM Ellie woke me up crying that her throat really hurt, she was burning up, and she felt sick to her stomach. Poor thing. My inlaws phoned at 7 AM after getting the latest on the weather (they live in Edmonton) to tell us they were going to drive down the 3 hours to see her concert. I told them she was sick and she will not be performing. It is very disappointing! This gala performance is HUGE! After some Motrin, though, Ellie is feeling better. But we'll have to see how the day plays out. We certainly don't want her to be at the Jacksinger all day when she's feeling so badly, and we don't want to spread it around the choir either. It's tough. We love seeing her sing at this event, and this year her level was going to be doing two song with the older girls groups, multi level harmonies and stuff. Would have sounded georgous! ANYway.

Regan woke up sick too, more stuffy than anything, and my sore throat is back. So many people are sick this time of year! And to top it off the temp is about -28 degrees C, and -40 with the windchill! Yikes!!
