Hey!

This is Regan at Boston Pizza last night re-creating the "Tej shot". We've decided to make it a tradition to shoot Regan doing what will be now known as the "Tej pose".

Walle was SUPER cute. And having Ellie all to our selves was just awesome. We went to Boston Pizza for dinner, and it was all about her. At first Regan and I started talking about grown up stuff, new truck etc, and then I suddenly realized what we were doing! So I turned to Ellie and we started talking to her about her life. Then somehow we veered off after awhile to grown up stuff, and she was quiet for a bit, and then I gave Regan a wave over her head to signal him to switch to kid topics just at the time Ellie said, "Knock knock!" We started telling jokes, and then played a game called "one word at a time" from my improv days until the food came. We had some great laughs. We took pictures. It was just so great! The movie was really great, and very heart warming. Although not the best of the Pixar movies for sure. My favourite is still Toy Story 1 and 2, and then a VERY close second is Finding Nemo. But all and all we had so much fun. She was sitting between us at the theatre and at one point we were all three with our hands piled on top of one anothers on Ellie's legs. She was just beaming the whole time. We talked about Ayana quite a bit (usually Ellie bringing up some funny thing she "says" or does.), and Ayana did pretty good with Grandma and Granpa, well except for the crying. Sigh. She didn't cry too much, so they SAY. We had left without saying goodbye to her, which we had done before, but she is getting too old for that now, I think. Once they came back in from the backyard (where we left them) my Mom said that she was looking for us and was quite upset. And then she heard the door open and thought it was us, and when she saw Grandpa she melted into a million and one tears. Poor little thing. She didn't want anything to do with Grandpa, so then she clinged to Grandma, which was such a great thing for my Mom. Just melted her heart. But then Grandpa got her laughing with the bowling set, and they had a good time after all that. The moral of the story is, we should say goodbye to her so she understands that we are leaving, as hard as that will be, it is only fair to her.

Today I am not sure what is on the agenda. It is overcast which is lovely, and only 15 at the moment. Also lovely. Not a big fan of the heat.
